We're hiring kind people

Join Our Team

Looking for work that actually matters? We're growing a small, trusted team of helpers across Fayetteville — for pets, homes, and the neighbors who need a hand.

Work that matters

Every visit helps a neighbor, a pet, or a busy family breathe easier.

Flexible hours

Choose shifts that fit around school, family, or another job.

Backed & insured

You're covered under Sam's insurance and supplied with what you need.

A small, kind team

No corporate middle-management. You work directly with Sam and a few helpers.

How pay works

Sam's Helping Hands is a per-gig business — this is gig work, not an hourly job. You're paid a commission on each completed booking, not a weekly paycheck or hourly wage.

Here's what that means in plain terms:

  • You earn a set commission on every visit you complete — the more gigs you take on, the more you earn.
  • There's no guaranteed number of hours or shifts, and no minimum weekly pay. Quiet weeks happen, especially when starting out.
  • Pay is settled after each completed gig (typically within a few days), not on a fixed payroll schedule.
  • Tips from happy clients go straight to you on top of your commission.

You'll join the team as an independent contractor (1099), not an employee. That means you set your own availability, choose which gigs to accept, and handle your own taxes — we don't withhold anything from your pay. It's flexible work that fits around your life, and it rewards people who show up reliably and care well.

If you're looking for a steady W-2 salary or guaranteed hours, this role won't be the right fit — and that's okay. We want helpers who thrive on flexible, gig-by-gig work.

What we look for

Experience is wonderful, but kindness, reliability, and a careful instinct matter most — we'll teach the rest.

  • At least 21 years old, with a valid driver's license & reliable vehicle
  • Background check, references, and a clean driving record
  • Genuine care for pets and/or a heart for helping neighbors
  • Available for at least 2 shifts per week (weekends a plus)
  • CPR / First-Aid certification, or willingness to get certified (we'll help cover it)
